Troubled socialite Casey Johnson, the daughter of Jets owner Woody Johnson, was found dead in Los Angeles Monday, according to reports.
It was not immediately clear how the 30-year-old heiress of the Johnson & Johnson fortune died.
In a bizarre online video last month, she and reality TV star Tila Tequila announced they were engaged while lying in bed in just their bras and panties.
Via Twitter, Tequila posted this sad message: “Everyone please pray 4 my Wifey Casey Johnson. She has passed away.
Thank u for all ur love and support but I will be offline to be w family.”
Johnson has a history of drug problems and has failed at rehab several times.
She was also battling her mother, Sale Johnson, for custody of the daughter she adopted from overseas. The girl was taken away from Casey Johnson when the heiress was found to be living in squalor.
Sale and Robert Johnson, who are divorced, recently cut off her trust fund when she refused to get help for drug abuse, loved ones have said.
She was arrested in November on charges of grand theft and the alleged victim was reportedly her ex-girlfriend, Jasmine Lennard.
A spokesman for the Jets owner issued this statement: “The Johnson family is mourning its tragic loss, and asks for privacy during this very difficult time.”
