Larry Burns, GM Vice President of Research and Development and Strategic Planning, and Jim Norrod, Segway’s chairman and chief executive, after a press conference that issued statements on Monday night.

Burns said the PUMA:

“The DNA of automobiles was almost the same for about 100 years … driven by an internal combustion engine, triggered by oil, driven mechanically, hydraulically or mechanically controlled.”

He says the place PUMA is a “marriage of electric vehicles powered by … [with] cars online.”

The board has no vheicle but pop into your PDA or smart phone that displays data such as the speed needed.

“[The PUMA is] a way we can take these great freedoms that we had to move and interact and connect them together through electricity based vehicles connected … [that] allow us to express ourselves with the fashion style and fun. ”
