The world tells me that I should work a corporate job that allows me to pay the bills. Meanwhile, my inner artist wants me to break away from that life and live independently, even if it means being a starving/tortured artist for some time.

As an adult, I am becoming aware of many successful and sane artists who are pursuing their dreams. I only wish I had been encouraged from a young age to think it was a blessing to be an artist instead of accepting what others told me to prefer.
