We’re not talking about recycling the treasures from your grandma’s yard sale. No, this is about restoring beautiful things to their former glory. It’s called upcycling, and it’s a way to reinvent the past by transforming something disposable into something of greater use and value. Plus, it’s a cool word.

In our increasingly disposable culture, it’s a refreshing notion to think of better ways to use all of our junk that’s just lying around. So, SoulPancake talked to artist/upcycler and owner of Progress Gallery, Bob Reddy, and discovered firsthand how (and why) to upcycle with class.
