Holtz Staying At ECU – WITN

Greenville – Sources tell WITN that ECU head football coach Skip Holtz was offered the head coaching job at Cincinnati but has turned it down opting to stay at ECU.
ESPN is now reporting that Cincinnati will hire Central Michigan head coach Butch Jones to lead the Bearcats.
Jones will take over for Brian Kelly who recently left Cincinnati to become the head coach at Notre Dame.
ECU will continue preparations for a Liberty Bowl matchup against Arkansas on January 2nd in memphis, Tennessee. The Pirates will begin a string of five consecutive practices in Greenville on Thursday before taking off for a holiday break.
