In addition to Brett Favre, the Minnesota Vikings were tops in the league in placing players on the NFL Pro Bowl 2010 Roster. The Minnesota Vikings placed an NFL-best eight players on the team.
Some of the notable selections for the Pro Bowl 2010 Roster include:
NFC QB: Drew Brees of the Saints, which makes sense based on his performance, and backing him up, Brett Favre, who despite the naysayers, still has it. Ironically, since GB basically dumped Brett Favre for him, backing up Favre will be Aaron Rodgers.
NFC Tight End: A well deserved pick after a slow start to his career, is the San Francisco 49ers Vernon Davis. Until now, Davis has been considered an underachiever by 49ers fans. He has 12 TDs on the season, which is one less than the record for TEs.
AFC QB: Peyton Manning is the starter, quite naturally. Backing him up is Tom Brady of the NE Patriots.
AFC Punter: As usual, Shane Lechler, Oakland punter, makes it to the Pro Bowl 2010 roster. He’s been the best punter for years, in either league, though Andy Lee of the 49ers has always been a close second (and is in the Pro Bowl for the NFC).
