Brittany Murphy death certificate was filed this morning. The death certificate lists Brittany Murphy’s cause of death as “deferred”.

According to TMZ, the possible causes of Murphy’s death include accident, natural, homicide, suicide and undetermined. You can view a copy of the death certificate on TMZ’s website.

The  Los Angeles County coroners office is awaiting Brittany Murphy’s toxicology results.

Oddly, Brittany Murphy’s death certificate lists her father as “unknown”.  Murphy’s father is known, at least in the media. It’s possible whoever gave Murphy’s vital information was simply unaware of her fathers name.

After she passed away her father, Angelo Bertolotti, gave an interview to US magazine. He said “There is nothing I can say,” and “I can’t believe this is happening. She was a young 32. She wasn’t supposed to die like this.”

Angelo Bertolotti did not attend his daughter’s funeral. He told E! News “If I wanted to go, I would go, but I don’t want to see her that way,”. He also stated “She was flawless to me. She was a little bright child. I have only good memories about her. She’s a memory to me now. To me, she’s off making a movie somewhere.”
