
(WIREUPDATE) — Last week CBS Corporation gave the green light to producer Chuck Lorre and his sitcom “Mike and Molly”. According to the NYTimes’ Media Decoder blog, the Lorre’s sitcom was one of five television series picked up by the network.

It has been recently learnt that CBS is all set to treat the viewers with four new shows for its next season of Fall shows.

While NBC and Fox are announcing new schedules on Monday, CBS is notifying producers about which new shows it is ordering for the fall. So far, it has given series orders to three dramas: “Hawaii 5-0,” “Defenders” and “Blue Bloods.”

William Shatner will head to CBS in the new comedy series “Bleep My Dad Says,” according to Deadline Hollywood.
The comedy is based on writer Justin Halpern’s Twitter account sensation S*** My Dad Says, where he posts his 70-something dad’s colorful commentary. Shatner will play the role of the dad.
This is CBS’ second new comedy series, joining Chuck Lorre’s “Mike & Molly.” Also on CBS’ Fall schedule are “Hawaii Five-O,” “Defenders,” “Blue Bloods” and the “Criminal Minds” spinoff.

CBS has reportedly picked up at least six new series for its upcoming fall season.
Leading the new pick-ups is the remake of the classic crime series Hawaii 5-O, the much-buzzed about project from Fringe producers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman and CSI: NY producer Peter Lenkov. The reboot features Three Rivers‘ Alex O’Laughlin and Lost’s Daniel Dae Kim in lead roles, along with Taryn Manning, Grace Park and Scott Caan.
