Upfronts: CBS Orders Up Some Series, Including New ‘Hawaii 5-0′ – New York Times (blog)

While NBC and Fox are announcing new schedules on Monday, CBS is notifying producers about which new shows it is ordering for the fall. So far, it has given series orders to three dramas: “Hawaii 5-0,” “Defenders” and “Blue Bloods.”

CBS picks up William Shatner starrer ‘Bleep My Dad Says’ – Zap2it.com (blog)william-shatner-getty2.jpg William Shatner will head to CBS in the new comedy series “Bleep My Dad Says,” according to Deadline Hollywood.

The comedy is based on writer Justin Halpern’s Twitter account sensation S*** My Dad Says, where he posts his 70-something dad’s colorful commentary. Shatner will play the role of the dad.

This is CBS’ second new comedy series, joining Chuck Lorre’s “Mike & Molly.” Also on CBS’ Fall schedule are “Hawaii Five-O,” “Defenders,” “Blue Bloods” and the “Criminal Minds” spinoff.

Leading the new pick-ups is the remake of the classic crime series Hawaii 5-O, the much-buzzed about project from Fringe producers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman and CSI: NY producer Peter Lenkov.
