Dallas Braden of the Oakland Athletics pitched a perfect game today, Mother’s Day 2010. Afterwards, he hugged his grandmother on the field, who raised him after his mother passed away from cancer while he was a high school senior.

This is the 19th perfect game in Major League Baseball history, and is Braden’s first complete game and 18th victory in his career.
