EPL January Transfer Rumors: Man Utd target Kevin Strootman
Manchester United has gotten the green light for the EPL January transfer window to being their true pursuit of PSV Eindhoven and Netherlands international forward, Kevin Strootman. As of September 26, 2012, the young Dutchman is believed to be a January transfer target for the English giants and could produce an interesting transfer saga if it all comes to pass.
The Red Devils currently do not look a club that is hurting for options up front between Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck. Nevertheless it is known that Sir Alex Ferguson likes to shake things up a bit at times and add more competition to his squad.
Strootman would be a good signing, but he could opt to join a club such as Liverpool or Tottenham where he could potentially have more of a chance to see first team action in a shorter time period if either of the two mentioned would be interested in signings the player.
According to recent reports from TalkSport, the Eredivisie club is prepared to allow Strootman his opportunity to leave as long as the right offer comes along. However, that could mean that they are going to hold onto him until at least next summer.
