El Shaarawy thankful for the AC Milan opportunity
El Shaarawy admits that after the release of Antonio Cassano and Zlatan Ibrahimovic from AC Milan, he has had a real opportunity to play some unbound attacking football.
The exit of these big name players has allowed younger more talented players to shine through and show case their capabilities. Shaarawy has grown in to the responsibility of leading his team’s attack quite well.
He was also very appreciative of the coach Massimiliano Allegri who has shown faith in the young man and allowed him to play naturally.
This has catapulted the 20-year-old in to the spotlight and is currently the hottest property in Italian club football. He has given the Rossoneri new hope for the future, after it seemed questionable having lost a lot of their fire power in the transfers last summer.
The former Genoa player has scored 12 goals in 15 appearances for the Italian giants this season and continues his fine performances linking up well with his midfield compatriots and lending a hand to the defence time and again.
After the youngster was denied entry in the Egyptian National side he started playing for the Italian U-17 National side and quickly rose through the ranks and ended up playing with the senior squad by 2012. He is the highest scorer of the Serie A so far this season.
