Charlie Sheen is loosing his underwear ads. Charlie Sheen has lost his underwear ads, for now, under a temporary suspension the company calls “pretty standard”.

Hanes’ rep Matt Hall confirms Charlie Sheen’s underwear ads were pulled down from tv circulation on December 28, the next business day after his scandal broke. Print suspension is logically delayed.

“Unfortunately, the production schedule of those publications do not allow us to pull those ads,” Hall said.

“It’s a pretty standard, straightforward call when somebody who’s in your commercials is arrested on suspicion of something of this magnitude. And we would suspend the ads both for the company and, really, for Mr. Sheen and his family as well. Given the publicity, it makes sense to not air those ads during that time.”

Sheen’s publicist Stan Rosenfield had reportedly no comment on the Hanes decision.
